Introducing Tim Hickory as Director of Operations

Tim first joined CfC in 2011, as a volunteer Project Manager for the MEF School Project in Kakata, Liberia. Tim then continued his career in project management at MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions, a leading mechanical engineering and design build contractor in the Northwest. Tim has worked on large retrofit and expansion projects for Microsoft, State Farm and Virginia Mason Hospital and has overseen dozens of TI energy improvement projects upgrading mechanical systems in existing buildings to maximize conservation and optimize efficiency.Tim brings to CfC extensive experience in lean construction management where he has proven success implementing processes that will minimize costs while achieving maximum value for our project partners. He is committed to the collective power of individuals and organizations working together to reconcile the broken social and structural framework that exists within our communities. He believes the work of CfC plays a fundamental part in this effort by building accessible, lasting, sustainable and healthy environments which allow all members to thrive. Tim holds a B.S. in Construction Management from Colorado State University. When asked what his ideal Saturday looks like, Tim answered, “sleep in, drink dark coffee, and head to the mountains to go skiing or hiking”. However, he would “ultimately, want to go surfing – when the weather is nicer”.Please join us in welcoming our outdoorsy friend, Tim into the CfC family.
