30/30 Project is Here
After much anticipation, the 30/30 Project has officially launched!
It has been an honor to work with Julie Lewis, her family and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis Productions to realize Julie’s dream – the 30/30 Project. It has been 30 years since Julie was infected with HIV. To celebrate her survival, the Lewis family wants to ensure that other HIV+ women have access to quality health facilities that will stand for another 30 years. Together, we are on a mission to build as many of these medical facilities worldwide as possible. We believe that healthcare is a human right and that everyone, everywhere deserves access to affordable healthcare.
How It Works
The 30/30 Project will raise funds specifically for building projects that serve HIV+ women and their families. Construction for Change will take care of construction and then hand the facility over to our local non-profit partner. If we meet all of our funding goals, here are the first five phases where the money will go…
Phase 1: A non-profit health center in Neno District, Malawi for PIH (Price: $100,000 USD)
Phase 2: A non-profit clinic in Kangundo, Kenya for Kizimani (Price: $100,000 USD)
Phase 3: A non-profit clinic in Mbita, Kenya for Med25 International (Price: $70,000 USD)
Phase 4: A non-profit clinic in Ugenya, Kenya for Matibabu Foundation (Price: $75,000 USD)
Phase 5: A health training center in Nakaseke, Uganda for ACCESS (Price: $125,000 USD)
If we go beyond this, we will start the search for more worthy non-profit organizations that are providing crucial healthcare services and opportunity to HIV+ women… we may end up building 30 health facilities by the time we are done.
